Head Bartender
In cooperation with the Management, the Head Bartender is responsible helping to oversee the bar program and the bar team as well as serving and assisting guests in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner. They must actively embody Experimental standards both in interaction with fellow team members and guests. Experience, knowledge of mixology, top presentation, ambition, zero pretension – this is what we are looking for in our bar team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead by example in all areas of bartending and guest service.
- Work on cocktail creation and execute seasonal cocktail menus in collaboration with the Management and company standards.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and bar techniques.
- Oversee daily bar operations, including cleanliness, prep, and station setup.
- Train and mentor bartenders and barbacks to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Uphold and enforce all bar policies set up by the bar manager: SOP’s Hospitality Standards, etc.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking, ordering, and stock rotation.
- Assist in inventory count with Management.
- Monitor pour cost, comps, and waste; flag inconsistencies and ensure accountability.
- Cultivate a positive and professional bar culture rooted in hospitality, teamwork, and integrity.
- Ensure a high-quality experience for all guests (greeting, warm attentive service, etc.) and address any guest concerns quickly and professional.
- Help collaborate on events with Management team.
- Represent ECC at industry events.
- Additional duties as deemed necessary.
