Manufacturing Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day production operations, drive efficiency, and build a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for overseeing output, maintaining quality standards, and partnering cross-functionally to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule. Key Responsibilities:
- Develops priorities, creates budgets and schedules, establishes quality control processes.
- Oversees the efficient completion of production orders to satisfy demand requirements, while ensuring the safe production of quality products.
- Coordinates the day-to-day activities of a team of production workers to ensure that manufacturing operations run according to established production specifications and schedule. Considers volume, cost, wastage targets and quality standards.
- Control over raw materials inventory scheduled and return to stock.
- Monitors the volume and quality of output and adjusts tasks, timing, equipment set-up or inputs so that production specifications are met, and resources are used efficiently.
- Analyze production metrics and data to determine areas to improve.?Reduce lead times for orders while maintaining a just-in-time production environment.
- Responsible for production consist with KPI (Key Performance Indicators) targets.
- Tracks and reports on productivity, processes and KPI targets.
- Supervises staff to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment operated safely.
- Ensures machinery and schedule maintenance is completed.
- Provide leadership to production supervisors, leads, and associates.
- Responsible for facility-wide regulatory compliance and associate performance.
- Responsible for maintaining documentation for training of all department staff according to company / government policy in areas such as safety, equipment, quality etc.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has authority for personnel decisions. Manages strategic hiring, people scheduling, performance management, corrective actions, and separations.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but maintains impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change
- Drives the development of accurate SOP’s (standard operating procedures) for all major production areas.
- Meets production goals and timelines - this includes product labeling, quality, and strict compliance with preparation SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
- Communicate any problems, obstacles, and progress to senior management.
- Works with Operation Director to resolve scheduling or production issues.
- Manage daily communication with the department on production and employee status.
- Assists other employees in accomplishing company goals.
- Participates in and completes company-required training programs.
- Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety initiatives as set forth by the company
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by your manager.
- Regularly leads and directs the work of other employees.
- Exercises authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, promotion, and separations within the department.
- Oversees the overall operations of the department, ensuring teams meet performance targets.
- Applies discretion and independent judgment in decision-making for departmental operations and issues.
- Primarily engaged in a managerial capacity, the worker is integral to enterprise management, overseeing employee training, determining changes in employee status, assigning job duties, drafting management policies, addressing disciplinary issues, and ensuring strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week. Flexible availability to work both day and night shifts plus some weekends.
- Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor.

- Cannabis Regulation (State & Local): Demonstrates advanced knowledge of regulations governing the cannabis industry to minimize compliance-related risks.

- Documentation & Data Integrity: Manages input, organization, maintenance, and timeliness of data into designated systems/databases to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Financial Literacy: Makes effective business decisions by leveraging a strong understanding of KPI's to drive and accomplish financial goals.
- Mobilization: Effectively rallies individuals and teams with urgency to drive and achieve desired goals.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identifies and applies opportunities for sound problem-solving to manage the smooth flow of goods and services.

Education & Experience:
- A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years supervisory/leadership experience with 2 years production experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry concepts and principles.
- Requires proven experience with relevant business practices, procedures, and compliance requirements in the cannabis industry.
- Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Docs) keyboarding skills, 10-key speed of at least 40 WPM with minimal errors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.
- Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.
Requirements:
- Must be over 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours a week. Flexible availability to work both day and night shifts.
- May perform activities that include periods of rigorous, repetitive work.

- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and/or working on a computer.

- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift 40 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
- Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.

This role operates in a cannabis manufacturing setting where exposure to fine plant particles, such as dust from grinding or trimming, is common. The company provides all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain safety and comfort while working in this environment
