Our private members club is seeking a polished, personable Host to serve as the first and last point of contact for our members and their guests. This is more than a seating role — you are the ambassador of the club's culture, setting the tone for an exceptional, discreet, and elevated dining experience from the moment someone walks through the door.Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet members and guests by name, embodying the club's standards of hospitality, discretion, and refinement
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and floor plans using the club's reservation system, optimizing seating flow and table turns without compromising member experience
• Escort members and guests to their tables, presenting menus and communicating any relevant information (e.g., private events, chef's specials, member preferences)
• Maintain detailed knowledge of member profiles, preferences, dietary restrictions, and special occasions to personalize each visit
• Coordinate closely with servers, management, and the kitchen to ensure smooth service and timely seating
• Answer phone and email inquiries professionally, handling reservation requests, cancellations, and special requests
• Uphold strict confidentiality regarding member identities, conversations, and club affairs
• Manage the entrance and lobby area, ensuring it remains immaculate and welcoming at all times
• Assist with coat check, private dining room coordination, and member escort to other club amenities as needed
• Handle sensitive situations (overbooking, member complaints, VIP arrivals) with grace, tact, and sound judgment

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm yet professional demeanor
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Impeccable grooming and presentation standards
• Familiarity with reservation/POS systems (Resy, toast)
• Discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential member information
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations
