Overview
Publicis Media (PM) delivers balanced, transparent, competitive advantage to Publicis' media agencies and their clients. This is done through the consolidated strength of our agencies, deep understanding of our client drivers, leveraging scaled investment, marketplace innovation, strength in partnerships and intelligence.
The primary responsibility of the PM's contract coordination group is to negotiate and manage global vendor agreements. These agreements are at the holding company level with strategic digital media and advertising technology partners. They act on behalf of Publicis agencies along with their advertiser clients. Third-party vendor contracts are negotiated and coordinated by the PM Contracts group for Publicis. Agencies in the US and abroad apply these contracts, which differ in scope.
The group handling PM Contracts is responsible for developing global contract governance frameworks. These frameworks help Publicis agencies mitigate risk. They also develop policies and processes that help manage contractual obligations, such as audit procedures and data transfers.
In this role, the Associate Director, PM Contracts will support every part of the contract life cycle for PM-level agreements. These agreements involve digital media buys such as direct IO and social. The group responsible for PM Contracts manages these agreements. Reporting to the VP, PM Contracts, this individual will collaborate closely with US offices and centralized project management teams. They will have a meaningful role in helping internal teams grasp and implement contractual obligations, including data usage rights and invoicing.
This individual should have prior experience with contracts and contract management, preferably within digital advertising (agency, advertiser, or publisher). They must demonstrate a highly developed motivation to work with diverse parties.
Responsibilities

Lead negotiation of terms and conditions with media vendors/partners

Facilitate internal feedback from all contributing PM, agency, and local market collaborators, such as finance and practice leads. Bring issues to the relevant PM Contract team members.

Manage & supervise non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that are accomplished with potential PM partners on behalf of the centralized PM practices

Help manage contract-related requests internally with Publicis agencies & centralized PM practices as well as externally with PM partners

Ensure our internal process for managing contract-related requests satisfies the needs of the Publicis agencies and centralized PM practices we support

Work closely with PM Business Operations and Business Affairs to operationalize contractual processes amongst Groupe agencies who buy media

Collaborate with and act as a helpful resource for Publicis agencies and centralized PM practices on contractual matters and audits escalated to the PM Contracts Team
Qualifications

5+ years experience with contract management on an in-house legal, business affairs or contract operations team (ideally at an advertising agency or media company)

Familiarity with the IAB and their Standard Terms and Conditions for Internet Advertising for Media Buys (One Year or Less, Version 3.0)

Experience with reviewing and redlining contracts, incorporating legal team guidance

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects with various stakeholders, meet deadlines and strong follow through

Eagerness and ability to learn and retain new substantive matters quickly

Strong interpersonal capabilities, ability to develop strong trust-based relationships with internal and external teams

Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials and exercise discretion when interfacing with the business

Compensation Range: $95,950 - $150,995 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
