Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies for adolescent to geriatric patients under direction of the Sleep Disorders Center Technical Director
- Apply and configure sensors, monitor equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort during testing
- Observe and respond to patient needs, artifacts, and monitoring alarms; document clinical events accurately
- Score and interpret sleep study data following center protocols; assist with data collection and preliminary findings for physician review
- Maintain, calibrate, and sanitize equipment; adhere to infection control and safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support diagnostic testing and patient care

Requirements
- NYS licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration, or NYS licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist
- Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program, or related allied health training with enrollment/completion of A-STEP Online Self Study Modules or CAAHEP-accredited sleep technology training, END program, or respiratory therapy add-on track for sleep technology
- Two years of experience with patients, laboratory studies, or closely related field (or equivalent)
- Ability to work in an inpatient care setting; strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Willingness to work the 3x12 night shift schedule and provide coverage as required
