Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, MI 48307 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Imaging Support Services
• Assignment Type: Travel Radiologic Technologist
• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: November 22, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week
• Shift: 8:00am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday (No on-call; future on-call possible)
• Patient Volume: 2–5 patients per day (low volume department)
• Equipment: Phillips and Siemens imaging systems
• EMR: MergePass and Cerner (prior experience preferred)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2500 - $2560 per week

Radiologic Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology (IR) Neuro experience required
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced registry in one of the following:
  • Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI)
  • Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
  • Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
• Continued medical education hours as required
• Experience with Phillips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Experience with MergePass and Cerner EMR preferred

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Explain imaging procedures and prepare patients for Interventional Neuro studies
• Review patient medical histories and obtain necessary information
• Administer prescribed contrast media, medications, and IV solutions
• Set up and operate radiology equipment, monitors, and pressure injectors according to protocols
• Assist Radiologist with complex diagnostic and invasive neuro-interventional procedures
• Maintain and replenish imaging supplies, ensuring proper storage
• Assess patient condition throughout procedures
• Utilize independent judgment in imaging techniques, patient positioning, and safety practices
• Perform all imaging procedures with radiation protection and ALARA principles
• Deliver high-quality images to PACS and complete study indexing in RIS
• Document procedures and support clinical and billing functions
• Train new personnel and students as needed
• Demonstrate team standards of excellence, communication, and respect for diversity
