Full Stack Engineer

Technologists at WorldQuant research, design, code, test and deploy firmwide platforms and tooling while working collaboratively with researchers and portfolio managers. We are seeking an exceptionally talented full-stack engineer to join a team working on critical financial reporting and calculation platforms. The right candidate will have the ability to own the implementation of critical components and influence design of these applications. The candidate also has the opportunity to interact with senior business leaders and deliver solutions with high impact to the firm.

What You’ll Bring:

• Clear communication and presentation skills.


• Proficiency in at least one general purpose programming language from Python, Java, and C++


• Experience with web development frameworks such as React, HTML, CSS and the JavaScript language.


• Expertise in constructing and processing complex SQL queries. Working knowledge of relational databases. (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)


• Understanding of database design, index structures and stored procedures.


• Experience with building middleware services (REST/JSON), caching tools, data visualization, log collection and aggregation, search, queuing systems


• A solid background in Unix/Linux environment and Shell scripting.


• Experience with the Workday technical platform is a big plus.


• Candidate should be open in earning a Workday technical certification.


• Experience in DevOps: thorough knowledge in one webserver (Apache/NGINX/Tomcat), monitoring and load balancing tools.


• Experience with job schedulers (i.e. airflow, cron)


• Excellent debugging and problem solving skills


• Finance Experience is not required


• Familiarity with financial reporting is a plus

Pay Transparency:

WorldQuant is a total compensation organization where you will be eligible for a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and benefits.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on job function and level, benchmarked against similar stage organizations. When finalizing an offer, we will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is 125,000 – 200,000 USD.
