Assemblers & Machine Operators – 1st Shift | $17/hr | Temp-to-Hire | Highland, NY

We’re hiring experienced Assemblers and Machine Operators for a hands-on role with a growing manufacturer in Highland, NY . This is a temp-to-hire position on day shift , offering long-term career potential for reliable and skilled workers.

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday
• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Enjoy a 3-day weekend every week!

Pay Rate:

• $17/hour
• Overtime may be available

Position Overview:
You’ll be responsible for operating machines, using hand tools, and assembling metal components to meet production and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have prior machine shop experience and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Operate various machinery including sheet metal forming, punching, drilling, tapping, and cutting
• Use measurement tools to verify product specs
• Assemble components according to blueprints and schematics
• Enter accurate data into the ERP system to track production
• Collaborate with other departments to meet deadlines and resolve issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with company and OSHA standards
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE, including safety glasses

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of machine shop or industrial assembly experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics
• Proficient in using hand tools and measurement instruments
• Basic computer literacy and ERP familiarity a plus
• Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Work in a noisy manufacturing and warehouse environment
