Software engineer

Software Engineer (REQ #R385) position available with Moment Technology Inc. in New York, NY. Anticipated salary for the position: $150,000 - $170,000 per year; full-time. Responsibilities: Build ETL pipelines to sync raw, wholesale fixed income data from our vendors into our internal system. Improve the speed and scalability of data platform. Build out new FIX connectivity to venues and dealers to access additional liquidity for our customers. Add new features to our market connectivity platform, such as; adding additional flexibility for conforming to venues' technical specifications; supporting new trading protocols in conjunction with our trading team; and maintain front-end interfaces to make it easy to configure specific instances of the market connectivity service. Build features to support our trading simulator, such as new trading protocols and realistic market data simulation. Onboard new hires by providing them with business context and leveraging their past experience to guide technical decisions by more junior members of the team. The position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field. The position also requires one (1) year of experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Professional and/or academic experience must include: Data Engineering and Platform Development; Onboarding, mentorship and guidance of technical decisions of junior software engineers; Scaling and enhancing performance of data platforms for high transaction volumes; Deep cloud engineering; Golang and API development.
