Experienced Software Engineer - Credit

This Credit Insights team is responsible for building best-in-class cashflow based insights products that enable lenders to make more holistic lending decisions and empower broader access to Credit products for prospective borrowers. We believe Plaid has the power to be the next-gen Credit Bureau - supporting large scale adoption of cash flow into the credit underwriting process.
You will be responsible for executing against an ambitious roadmap for building Credit insights products. You will partner with our Product, Data Science, and Machine Learning team to iterate on and productionize new insights that enable our customers to make more holistic lending decisions.
Responsibilities
- Designing and building backend systems that power our credit insights experiences.
- Collaborating closely with Product, Data Science and Machine Learning partners to drive technical execution on major features that enable Credit underwriting use cases
- Mentoring engineers and contributing to a strong, inclusive team culture.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of software development experience
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
- Excellent coding, testing, and system design skills.
- Experience collaborating with data science or ML teams, with an understanding of how ML models integrate into production systems
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

$180,000 - $270,000 a year
The target base salary for this position ranges from $180,000/year to $270,000/year in Zone 1. The target base salary will vary based on the job's location.
Our geographic zones are as follows:
Zone 1 - New York City and San Francisco Bay Area
Zone 2 - Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
Zone 3 - Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
Zone 4 - Raleigh-Durham and all other US cities
Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
