SERVER ASSISTANT (FULL TIME)

• We have an opening for full-time SERVER ASSISTANT positions.

• Requirement : Prior upscale dining experience preferred.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $11.35 per hour.

Marcel is a new continental restaurant in the iconic Breuer building on Madison Avenue. The restaurant is a partnership between the design brand Roman and Williams and Sotheby’s, whose future New York headquarters will be in the Breuer. Marcel is Roman and Williams’ second restaurant, following their celebrated downtown restaurant La Mercerie, and will also include La Mercerie Patisserie.

Job Summary

Summary : Assists servers with various dining room activities.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports servers in preparing the dining room and table sets.
• Delivers orders to the table. Busses table.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
  • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

Qualifications :

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
