Medical Billing & Coding Instructor - PT
Education Required: Certified Medical Biller & Coder. Experience Required:
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant billing and coding experience.
- Knowledge of Registration, Pre-certification, Insurance Verification, Inpatient, Outpatient & Physician Services and legal aspect.
- Understanding of billing requirements of third party carriers such as Medicare, Medicaid, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Commercial, Worker's Compensation and No Fault (Outpatient/Physicians Services).
- Understanding of CPT Coding system and HSPCS Level Coding.
- Knowledge of how to complete CMS 1500 form and UB04 Form.
- Prior teaching experience.
- American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) teaching certification.
