About This Opportunity

Daemen University's School of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach an undergraduate-level Effective Business Communication course in our Bachelor of Business Administration program. We are seeking dynamic educators committed to student success and academic excellence to teach in-person between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

This course is a study of the analysis and practical application of effective communication in the business environment. The course will develop and reinforce written, oral and interpersonal communications skills necessary in a diverse and technological culture.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction following course objectives, curriculum guidelines, and accreditation principles
• Prepare and update course materials such as syllabi, assessments, and assignments
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback
• Maintain appropriate academic and professional standards
• Participate in occasional faculty meetings and training sessions
• Use Blackboard, the university's learning management system (LMS), for grading, communication, and content delivery
• $3500 per semester

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• College-level teaching experience (in-person)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Doctorate (Ph.D., DBA) in Business or related discipline
• Experience teaching diverse student populations
