Duties Description Under the direction of the Park Supervisor 1, SG-11 or designee at Rockland Lake State Park, the selected candidate's duties will include, but not be limited to:- Greet visitors, answers phones and/or radio transmissions; provide information as appropriate. - Track and coordinate assignment and work self-sufficiently to resolve competing priorities. - Operate office equipment such as printers, scanners and copiers.- Create, maintain, and enter information into spreadsheets, trackers and databases.- Complete forms in accordance with agency procedures.- Set up and manage paper and electronic filing systems.- Prepare cashier and office staff weekly schedules.- Prepare cashier for revenue collection, reconcile revenue at the end of the day; prepare revenue deposits.- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of events.- Assist in the hiring process.- Perform light maintenance and cleaning of the main office and the main office restroom.- This position involves prioritizing a wide range of responsibilities. - Communicate in writing, as well as read and comprehend written material.- Communicate effectively with other staff and park patrons in a responsible and courteous manner.- Adhere to the agency's Code of Conduct Policy and ensure compliance with all guidelines, policies, and procedures in the performance of daily tasks.- Additional duties as assigned.

Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel.- Must be able to exercise discretion when working with confidential information.- Must be able to work weekends and holidays from April - November.- Experience working in an office is preferred but not required.BENEFITS:This position has the option to join the NYS Employee's Retirement System and may be eligible for health insurance, dental and vision coverage as well as the opportunity for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, personal and holiday leave after time and service requirements has been met.
