Leasing Assistant
Pay Rate: $21.00–$24.00/hr + Commission + Bonus Opportunities
Hours: Tuesday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM • Saturday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location: Property Site as Assigned
FLSA Classification: Hourly Nonexempt
About the Role
We’re looking for an energetic, customer-focused Leasing Assistant who enjoys sales, connecting with people, and creating a positive first impression for prospective residents. In this role, you’ll be the face of the community—helping prospects find their next home while supporting key operational and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing, Sales & Leasing
Drive leasing success by handling sales, outreach, prospecting, and lead generation with a focus on converting leads into signed leases.
Conduct weekly marketing surveys and traffic reports; provide thoughtful recommendations based on trends and data.
Engage in community marketing outreach, including building relationships with neighborhood groups and local organizations.
Greet prospective residents, provide tours, and present the community in a warm, professional, and compelling manner.
Support resident events, newsletters, and engagement initiatives as needed.
Administrative & Operational Support
Process applications, verify information, and handle lease renewals.
Enter and manage guest cards, lead traffic information, and follow-up communications.
Assist new residents during the move-in process to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.
Collaborate with the maintenance team on turnovers, move-ins, move-outs, and work order coordination.
Maintain internal controls and operational compliance in line with company policies and best practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to complete tasks on time.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new software.
Language, Math & Reasoning Requirements
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand primary workplace language; bilingual skills are a plus.
Ability to calculate basic figures such as percentages and rent pro-rations.
Ability to solve practical problems and follow verbal, written, and scheduled instructions.
Physical Demands
Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
Ability to move around the property regularly to perform essential duties.
Ability to lift and move items up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance.
Use of proper lifting and safety techniques required.
Work Environment
Standard office environment with typical temperature, lighting, and equipment.
Regular interaction on-site within the property grounds and leasing office.
