Travel Registered Nurse Peds Job
Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics (Peds) to provide compassionate and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents. This role involves assessing pediatric patients, administering medications, coordinating treatments, and educating families on health conditions and care plans.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor pediatric patients' conditions , reporting changes to physicians and healthcare teams
- Administer medications, vaccines, and IV therapy according to pediatric protocols
- Provide age-appropriate care and emotional support to young patients and families
- Assist in diagnostic tests, treatments, and specialized pediatric procedures
- Educate parents and caregivers on medication administration, chronic disease management, and developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with pediatric safety protocols, infection control policies, and facility guidelines
- Collaborate with physicians, child life specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pediatric or neonatal setting preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required
- Strong knowledge of growth and development, pediatric diseases, and family-centered care
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, families, and healthcare teams
