Park Avenue Building & Roofing Supplies is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the compliance, safety, and operational management of our fleet of 25 heavy-duty diesel trucks and boom trucks operating throughout New York City .

This role is ideal for someone highly organized and detail oriented who understands NYC transportation regulations, fleet compliance, driver monitoring, and vehicle maintenance management .

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for maintaining fleet documentation, managing violations, coordinating vehicle maintenance, and ensuring the fleet operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain current vehicle registrations, titles, and insurance documentation
• Manage and track overweight permits and BIC plates
• Maintain insurance cards and certificates of insurance for all vehicles
• Ensure compliance with NYC and DOT regulations

Fleet Operations

• Oversee a fleet of 25 heavy-duty diesel trucks and boom trucks
• Maintain organized vehicle maintenance and repair files
• Schedule and coordinate truck maintenance and repair work
• Track preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime

Driver Compliance & Safety

• Monitor driver licenses through the LENS Program
• Maintain complete driver qualification files
• Track and manage driver violations and safety compliance
• Assist with driver safety oversight and reporting

Violation & Ticket Management

• Handle and dispute NYC idling violations
• Manage collection and tracking of driver related violations
• Conduct monthly EZ Pass audits
• Coordinate accident reporting and documentation

Fleet Technology & Monitoring

• Manage GPS and camera systems such as Motive and Samsara
• Monitor driver behavior through telematics and safety cameras
• Maintain records and reporting from fleet monitoring systems

Qualifications

• Experience managing a commercial fleet , preferably in NYC
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and NYC fleet compliance
• Experience handling idling violations and traffic ticket disputes
• Experience coordinating truck maintenance and repair scheduling
• Familiarity with fleet telematics systems such as Motive or Samsara
• Strong organizational and administrative skillsf
