Altair Restaurant is seeking a motivated Prep / Salad Cook to join our culinary team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in organization, works with urgency, and enjoys being part of a professional kitchen.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys prep work but also likes being involved in service.
Schedule- Monday – Friday
- 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Immediate start
- Prepare fresh salads and cold appetizers
- Produce desserts and dessert components
- Assist with mise en place for all stations
- Assemble dishes during lunch and dinner service
- Prepare vegetables, sauces, garnishes, and other menu items
- Restock and maintain a clean, organized workstation
- Follow recipes and Chef's direction with consistency
- Assist other stations as needed throughout service
- Previous restaurant prep or pantry experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Team player who communicates well and follows direction
