The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Waterview Heights is currently seeking Resident Assistants. Position Overview: We are currently seeking Resident Assistants to join our team. This entry-level position is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in the medical field and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents. As a Resident Assistant, you will work closely with the nursing and interdisciplinary team to provide care and support to our residents. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with the transport of residents who do not require weight-bearing assistance. * Pass out clothing protectors before mealtime. * Distribute meal trays and assist with meal set-up as needed. * Provide dining assistance to residents as necessary. * Make beds, straighten rooms, and refill water pitchers. * Round on units to ensure cleanliness. * At the end of each shift, check shower rooms, kitchen area, clean and soiled utility rooms, and other shared areas on the unit for cleanliness. * Answer call bells promptly and professionally. * Complete any other duties assigned by the Nursing Supervisor. Qualifications: * Ability to read, write, and speak English. * Solid moral character, patience, and a positive attitude toward the geriatric population. * Ability and willingness to follow direction and learn new concepts and procedures. * Completion of general orientation and in-servicing, including hand washing, infection control, transporting, bed making, tray set-up, and body mechanics. * Must be able to remain on feet almost 100% of the workday. * Must have a full range of motion to allow for kneeling, reaching, pulling, etc., while performing job duties. * Physically able to lift or move up to 35-lbs without assistance.
