You will be entrusted with the ownership and management of a city-specific virtual telehealth location, where you will coordinate care, manage clinic operations, and serve as the primary point of contact for patients and providers. YSP will provide all necessary training, digital resources, patients, insurance credentialing, and compliance support to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities:
Telehealth Clinic Ownership & Management:
- Take full ownership of your assigned remote telehealth location, including setup, daily operations, and patient experience.
- Manage all aspects of the virtual clinic, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant telehealth services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients in your assigned city or region.
Patient Administration & Support:
- Schedule and coordinate virtual appointments, send reminders, and manage patient inquiries via phone, email, or secure messaging.
- Guide patients through telehealth platform setup, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and provide clear instructions for virtual visits.
- Collect and document patient histories, review medications, and assist with pre-visit preparation and post-visit follow-up.
Clinical & Holistic Care Support:
- Support physicians, nurses, and dental professionals during telehealth consultations, including pre- and post-operative services.
- Facilitate patient education on disease, diagnosis, and holistic medicine approaches, utilizing YSP’s digital resources.
- Assist with remote patient monitoring, data collection, and digital documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Referral & Interprofessional Collaboration:
- Manage referral processes, including interprofessional patient referrals between dental and medical providers.
- Coordinate with supervising physicians and support nurses to ensure continuity of care and timely follow-up on referrals and treatment plans.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all telehealth activities comply with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations.
- Obtain and document informed consent for telehealth services as required.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and support billing/coding processes for telehealth encounters.
Professional Development & Training:
- Participate in YSP’s comprehensive internal training program, including telehealth technology, compliance, and holistic care approaches.
- Stay current with telehealth best practices, compliance requirements, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Supervision & Support Structure:
- You will be supported by an assigned supervising physician and a team of support nurses, who will provide clinical oversight and guidance in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervision will be conducted remotely using HIPAA-compliant technology, with regular check-ins and documentation as required by law.
- YSP ensures all supervision arrangements are compliant with state licensure and telehealth practice requirements.
Payment Structure & Ownership Responsibility:
- As a 1099 NEC independent contractor, you will receive full payment for insurance and patient services rendered at your assigned telehealth location.
- YSP provides all necessary digital resources, patient assignments, and administrative support, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality care.
- You are responsible for managing your assigned virtual clinic independently after training, with ongoing support from YSP’s clinical, compliance, and IT teams.
- This is a flexible opportunity, allowing you to choose part-time or full-time hours based on your availability and location.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong interest in healthcare, telehealth, and holistic medicine.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for remote patient and provider interactions.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with digital platforms (training provided).
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to a fast-paced virtual environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and telehealth regulations.
Preferred:
- Completion of a medical assistant program (accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES) or equivalent experience (not required; YSP provides full training).
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, or remote patient care is advantageous.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
