The purpose of this internship is to prepare college students for entry into the business world by providing a thorough understanding of the various functions of the Zebra Technologies organization. The program is designed to provide you with a full experience so that you can fully envision a career with Zebra. You will be positioned for success with training, exposure to all parts of the business, social activities, a professional mentor relationship and development sessions to help you discover your own performance edge!

Product Management Enterprise Mobile Computing (EMC), Handhelds, TC and PSS product lines. Drive the product lifecycle from idea generation and requirements definition to product and solutions launch and go-to-market execution. Own the product strategy, portfolio planning, and solutions requirements for the Zebra's Mobile Computing portfolio. Apply broad knowledge of Zebra's current solutions capabilities, the competitive environment, partner input, as well as customer input to identify new growth areas and emerging product opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and understand the trends in transportation, logistics and warehousing

  • Quantify the trends and report results

  • Outline pros and cons of the trends and recommend actions Zebra could take to accelerate or slow down the trend

  • Research competitors and report results

  • Work with product management, engineering and the industrial design team to suggest and recommend a new product or new accessories for existing products that could capture this market

  • Determine the business case for this product/accessory solution including cannibalization of existing product/business

  • Develop planning, organizational and leadership skills

  • Increase technology knowledge and skills

  • Develop team-based work proficiencies

  • Develop interpersonal skills to connect with day-to-day business contacts through follow up activities

THIS IS A HYBRID INTERNSHIP LOCATED IN HOLTSVILLE, NY. THE EXPECTATION IS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OF IN-OFFICE ATTENDANCE.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering

  • Must have an anticipated graduation date in May 2026 for undergraduate students or between May 2026-2028 for graduate students.

  • Must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software and hardware knowledge and/or experience (mix/balance of both)

  • Highly proficient with enterprise AI tools

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Driven to succeed and tenacious

  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, some presentation)

  • Planning and project management skills (managed to complete a complex project on time by allocating own time and resource)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)

  • Intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to learn and grow

  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic, and/or extracurricular experiences

  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team

Salary: USD 32.00 - USD 40.00 Hourly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
