We are seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team! You will assist in the daily care of elderly or disabled individuals.

Direct Support Professionals is a person who assists an individual with a disability to lead a self-directed life and contribute to the community, assists with activities of daily living if needed, and encourages attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. A DSP may provide supports to a person with a disability at home, work, school, church, and other community places. A DSP also acts as an advocate for the disabled individual, in communicating their needs, self-expression and goals, gets involved in assisting individual's during a day program in accordance with an established treatment plan. Program emphasizes community integration through daily recreational and work-site outings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities
• Communicate ongoing care results and updates to relevant parties
• Collaborate with clients and families for best care opportunities
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment
• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Implement and adhere to established treatment plans
• Required to report to alternate work locations, when necessary (e.g. Hospital, Dr.’s Office etc.)
• Must be able to transport residents in agency vehicles as needed
• Able to maintain student/individual /family confidentiality

​ Qualifications:

• Proof of vaccination
• Previous experience in personal care or other related fields
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have High School or equivalent degree.
• Prefer First Aid, CPR, AMAP and SCIP certifications or Aptitude upon hire.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20lb items.
• Demonstrates organizational, written and verbal skills.
• Must be at least 18 or older.
