Management Solutions Group Claims Manager

We are currently looking to add a Claims Manager to join our Management Solutions Group and work out of our 4 World Trade Center, NY or Parsippany, NJ office.
The selected candidate will lead and direct a team of Legal Claims Professionals in low to high exposure Claims primarily in our Private not-for-Profit (PNP) group including management liability, employment practices and fiduciary liability claims. The Claims Manager is expected to coordinate the work activities of the team, and has responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff. The Manager will also act as a technical resource for the team. This position has clear and distinct accountability for business results and is expected to manage internal and external customer relationships. The Claims Manager plays a critical role in interacting to exchange timely information with upstream claim managers, line of business underwriters, actuaries and finance, as well as developing, maintaining and servicing broker and account relationships. The selected candidate must be flexible to work across other Financial Lines teams as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims area OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims area AND
- Customer service experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience collaborating across work groups
- Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
- Travel 0-20%

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $170,000.00 to $195,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
