Position Overview
We are seeking a Junior Underwriter / Deal Processor with 2+ years of MCA experience to support underwriting and deal flow.
This role focuses on pre-underwriting analysis and deal preparation - ensuring files are clean, complete, and positioned for approval before reaching final underwriting.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track incoming deal flow from brokers/ISOs
- Review submitted files for completeness and accuracy
- Analyze financial documents to extract key insights (revenue, balances, liabilities)
- Identify and flag risk indicators and inconsistencies within files
- Conduct background and business verification checks
- Communicate with brokers to collect missing items and clarify information
- Prepare clear, concise deal summaries for underwriting
- Coordinate internally with sales, underwriting, and leadership to move deals forward
Requirements
- 2+ years of MCA experience in underwriting, processing, or deal screening
- Strong ability to read and interpret bank statements and financial documents
- Solid understanding of MCA structures, stacking, and cash flow-based funding
- Familiarity with industry tools (underwriting/scrubbing platforms/CRM tools)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a direct funder or underwriting team
- Ability to distinguish true revenue, transfers, and debt
- Experience working with multiple risk tiers (A/B/C/D paper)
- Experience with industry tools such as DecisionLogic, Experian, Unicord, DataMerch, Clear, Thomson Reuters, CRM systems, or similar underwriting/scrubbing platforms
