Medical technologist

Immediately hiring a Medical Lab Technologist in Microbiology in Hicksville

Schedule:

• Day shift: 7:00am - 5:00pm (10 hour shift)

• Tuesday, Thursday and confirming Friday or Saturday

Description

• Perform microbiology testing, including culture setup, organism identification, and susceptibility testing.

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

• Document and report findings in compliance with laboratory and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support patient care.

• Maintain quality control and participate in proficiency testing programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Active NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license

• 2+ years of recent experience in microbiology in a medical lab (PCR tests, cultures, susceptibility testing)

• ASCP is preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hicksville, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $52.00/hr.
