Staff Accountant

Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, NYC and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Staff Accountant located in Peekskill, NY.
The Accountant performs all functions of accounting, including but not limited to Journal Entries, account analysis, AR Management, Fixed Assets, Financial Statement preparation, Bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet schedules. Work with the adjunct Controller on issues of Financial Accounting principals and treatments thereof. Reports and is responsible to the adjunct Controller.
Responsibilities include:

»Assists with account analysis and journal entries for Sun River Health

»Prepares Journal Entries for assigned Subsidiaries on a monthly basis and prepares financial statements for review by Controller/adjunct Controller

»Manages Accounts Receivable for S4CH-which includes Invoice preparation, AR Analysis and Payment collection.

»Reconciles Fixed Assets through the Fixed Asset Module, Excel schedules, Depreciation reports, Disposal forms and Auditors Report

»Record 340B revenue/expenses and maintains schedules including the AR Aging report to be distributed to Finance/340B team

»Assists with Annual audit process

»Maintains assigned balance sheet schedules for Sun River

»Assists with the preparation of the monthly financial packet via notes, analysis and graphs

»Prepares various bank reconciliations to be reviewed by the Controller

»Preform Ad-Hoc projects and analysis as needed

»Advanced Excel expertise including pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.

»Excellent analytical and problem-solving expertise.

»Ownership of work with attention to detail.

»Team player with excellent communication expertise, written and verbal, with the capability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.

» practice in grant or fund accounting a plus
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

»Bachelor's degree in Accounting

»Several years of significant practice

»Audit and/or Not-For-Profit accounting a plus
income Range: $54,600.00 - $63,000.00 per year
