Requirements
The Associate Director, Policy is a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding and shaping policy initiatives to support business growth and market expansion. This pivotal position requires a strong and independent leader who can analyze complex regulatory mechanisms, anticipate policy trends, build and leverage relationships with decision makers to drive results, and work cross-functionally to align company strategy with rapidly evolving legislative and regulatory risks and opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive policy strategies related to solar and energy storage sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to influence regulatory and legislative outcomes.
- Represent SolAmerica Energy in trade organizations, industry coalitions, and public forums to advocate for favorable policies.
- Monitor and analyze policy trends and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities for the company.
- Mentor and manage policy team members to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years experience in energy policy, with emphasis on solar and storage markets.
- Proven track record of successfully shaping and influencing energy legislation and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of energy market dynamics, project development lifecycle, and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Experience working with regulators, utilities, and trade organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
