Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and patient education. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while supporting clinical operations in a fast-paced dental setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Assist dentists during oral examinations and procedures
• Review and verify patient medical and dental histories
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Ensure patient comfort throughout treatment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems
• Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments in compliance with infection control protocols
• Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and clinical standards
• Collaborate effectively with dentists and clinical staff
• Support administrative tasks such as documentation and data entry as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required
• Active and valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of New York
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures, including scaling and radiography
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a plus
• Solid understanding of infection control and safety standards
