Northwell Health Cancer Institute | New York's Largest Health System

The Northwell Health Cancer Institute seeks a visionary physician leader to serve as the inaugural System Chief of Hematologic Malignancies . This landmark role is designed to advance and expand our hematologic oncology research programs across one of the nation's most dynamic health systems. This role aligns with the Institute's mission to break through geographic, socioeconomic, and access barriers, ensuring that people receive the state-of-the-art, compassionate cancer care with access to cutting-edge investigational therapies.

We seek a dynamic individual to build a world-class clinical and translational research program in hematologic malignancies. Northwell Health treats more than 24,000 patients with cancer annually and provides access to over 400 Cancer Institute physicians across more than 25 subspecialties. The Cancer Institute continues to set new standards in clinical care, research, and training across the New York metropolitan region. With the recent acquisition of Nuvance Health, our reach now extends into Connecticut and the Hudson Valley. This leader will be instrumental in shaping our strategic growth as a health system that provides access to research and clinical trials for oncology care.

The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research serves as the hub of Northwell Health's research enterprise and a center for scientific discovery and innovation, including the Institute of Cancer Research, where groundbreaking translational cancer research is performed. In addition, a strategic partnership established in 2015 between Northwell Health and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory has accelerated the translation of basic science discoveries into patient care through the development of innovative early-phase clinical trials.
