Accounts Payable Specialist

Cedar Park Group is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist!

Contract-to-Hire. 8am - 5pm, M-F

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the full cycle of accounts payable, including invoices, vendor statements, and subcontractor pay applications. This role ensures vendor payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with contract terms while supporting overall cash-flow management. You will collaborate closely with project managers, purchasers, and leadership to maintain accurate financial records and foster strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Review, code, and enter vendor invoices, stock sheets, and subcontractor pay applications.



• 
  

  Match invoices with purchase orders, packing slips, and approvals.



• 
  

  Process weekly check runs and ACH/credit card payments.



• 
  

  Maintain vendor files, including W-9 documentation.



• 
  

  Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.



• 
  

  Track subcontractor compliance (insurance certificates, lien waivers, certified payroll if applicable).



• 
  

  Support month-end and year-end closing processes.



• 
  

  Assist with additional office and estimating tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.



• 
  

  Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.



• 
  

  High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred.



• 
  

  Prior experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or office administration; experience in the construction or contracting industry a plus.



• 
  

  Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.



• 
  

  Knowledge of construction pay applications, lien waivers, and retainage is a plus.
