Procurement Writer
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in procurement, specifically technology procurements.
- Five years of experience working in a professional team environment.
- Deep understanding of a standard procurement cycle.
- Deep understanding of business processes, technical processes, and their intersection.
- Excellent technical writing skills, including an understanding of technology and the ability to translate technical requirements, concepts, and complex business needs into procurement documentation.
- Exceptional customer service relationship techniques, including superior verbal communication skills.
- Process-oriented and results-driven work strategy.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with highly developed attention to detail.
- Self-motivated to meet client deadlines.
- Ability to work in a team environment, either as a leader or leading through influence.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite or products and with business application software and resource planning systems.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading or managing a team.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with state and/or federal procurement processes, specifically technology procurements.
- Experience working with New York State agencies and/or authorized users.
Education and Experience
- Five years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in a business or technical field.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
