Barista

The Barista is responsible for delivering an outstanding Ralph’s Coffee experience by preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining exceptional standards of customer service, and ensuring the café environment is safe, clean, and welcoming. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the café and maintains Ralph’s Coffee standards.

This location is based out of our corporate headquarters. The Barista will serve high-profile guests consistently; this role requires high-level professionalism, hospitality, and attention to detail. The café is open Monday – Thursday.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

At Ralph’s Coffee, the Barista plays a key role in creating a vibrant and memorable customer experience. Responsibilities include preparing coffees and other beverages to the highest standard, greeting and assisting customers, maintaining hygiene and food safety records, and ensuring all company policies and procedures are followed.

The Barista will:

• Prepare and serve coffees, teas, and other beverages to Ralph’s Coffee standards, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality.
• Create a warm, vibrant, and welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
• Greet customers promptly and provide excellent, friendly, and professional customer service.
• Make recommendations to customers, answer questions, and confidently discuss menu items.
• Coordinate beverage orders with other baristas and team members to ensure efficient and smooth service.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, audit requirements, and AP standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment.
• Keep the coffee bar area, equipment, and service stations clean, stocked, and organized.
• Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards throughout the café.
• Complete and maintain hygiene and temperature records, including fridge temperature logs and other audit documentation.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and respond professionally to customer feedback and concerns.
• Build and nurture positive relationships with customers to provide an exceptional café experience.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge:

• Previous experience of 2 years as a Barista or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong latte art skills preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, positive, and approachable manner.
• Passion for coffee, hospitality, and customer service.

• Ability to work effectively in a high-visibility environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleaning standards.
• Food Handlers license preferred.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team.
