Electrical Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a for an Electrical Engineer job with a client in Rochester, NY. Must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment, and an understanding of fundamental engineering principles. Will prepare PLC I/O assignment lists.

Salary Range: $100/year to $130/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities Include:

• Develop control system architecture diagrams.
• Lay out control panels and create electrical schematic designs using AutoCAD.
• Specify control system equipment, including electrical panel components and motor control center hardware.
• Prepare control system assembly documentation, including bill of materials, wire list, and installation scope of work.
• Provide direct support to clients on new and existing systems.
• Develop network designs and specify industrial data center equipment.
• Commission control systems as part of a startup team at client locations throughout the U.S.
• Travel (20-25%) throughout the U.S. is required. The amount of travel varies based on project assignments, project location, and level of responsibility

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering is required
• Minimum 5 years’ related experience
• AutoCAD drawing experience is required
• Must be open to travel.
