Automotive Painter

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:
This is a full-time position which is responsible for prepping, sanding, and painting Dejana trucks and vans.
- Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes
- Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency
- Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, or other processes
- Sand, wash, and condition parts as necessary. Light bodywork may be required
- Inspect product before, during, after paint process to ensure specifications are being met.

WHAT WE OFFER YOU:
Hourly rates ranging from $18.00/hr - $27.00/hr.
Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience and qualifications.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in the painting of automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop is a plus.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Capability to be detail oriented and organized.
- Capability to be self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL ENVIRONMENT
- Position requires standing on hard surface, with a substantial amount of pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Position requires ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
- Position requires moderately difficult, manipulative and hand-eye coordination skills
- Position requires seeing objects closely.
- Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 20 to 45 minutes at a time.
- This job is indoors in a traditional manufacturing/warehouse setting. Activities will include both sitting and standing. These activities will occur in the production areas and inside paint booths.
- There may be exposure to hazardous fumes from paint and paint-mixing ingredients.
- There will be varying temperatures between different areas, up to 100 degrees at times.
- There will be normal manufacturing sounds with some background noise.
