Line Chef
Farzi NYC is looking for talented, motivated, and dependable Line Cooks to join our culinary team in Tribeca.
Farzi is a modern Indian dining concept that combines Indian flavors with contemporary culinary techniques and creative presentation. We are looking for cooks who are passionate about food, work well in a fast-paced kitchen, and maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute dishes according to Farzi recipes, plating standards, and specifications.
- Work efficiently on assigned stations during busy dinner and weekend services.
- Complete daily mise en place and station preparation.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, presentation, and quality.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, labeling, and storage procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service.
- Communicate effectively with chefs and other members of the kitchen team.
- Assist with receiving, prep, inventory, and kitchen organization when required.
- Follow NYC Department of Health and restaurant food-safety standards.
- Minimize food waste and properly handle restaurant ingredients and equipment.
