KYU is seeking energetic and detail-oriented Bussers/Runners to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the front-of-house operations by ensuring that tables are promptly cleared and set for new guests, and by delivering food and beverages efficiently. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction.

After applying, candidates are welcome to attend an in-person open call at KYU Restaurant on Thursday, the 29th, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

Please apply in advance before arriving. Interviews will be conducted on-site during the scheduled time window.

Responsibilities

• Clear and clean tables after guests leave, including removing used dishes, utensils, and glassware.
• Set up tables with clean linens, utensils, and glassware for new guests.
• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely manner.
• Refill water glasses and assist with any special requests from guests.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining area and service stations.
• Assist with restocking supplies and managing inventory of dining essentials.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle any guest requests or issues promptly and professionally.
• Support the team during busy periods by helping with additional tasks as needed.
• Ensure that all health and safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is beneficial.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including trays and food.

Physical Aspects of the Busser/Runner Role

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time.
