Chief Financial Officer

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) $50–$60 per hour-
Pro Action of Steuben and Yates, Inc. is seeking an experienced CFO to lead financial strategy and operations for a complex nonprofit organization. This role oversees all financial matters, including compliance with government contracts and private grants, and ensures alignment between financial objectives and organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage cash flow, financial planning, and strategic analysis
• Oversee compliance with government contracts and private grants
• Develop financial strategies and growth plans
• Forecast capital needs and monitor financial performance
• Identify opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement
• Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Manage investments and maintain relationships with funding sources
• Supervise finance staff and ensure operational efficiency

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting and have at least 5 years of experience in nonprofit accounting. Experience in a senior financial management role is essential, along with strong knowledge of compliance and reporting requirements. Candidates should have a proven track record managing finances for a complex nonprofit with multiple funding sources, including government grants and contracts. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s license, meeting agency standards per position and consistent, reliable transportation that will allow regular travel in and around the service area.
