Responsibilities
- Provide intraoperative nursing care for adult cardiac surgical patients, including preparation, scrubbing, and circulating for procedures such as CABG, TAVR/TAVI, and other complex cardiac cases.
- Maintain sterile technique, set up and verify equipment, and ensure correct instrument counts and safety checks throughout the case.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, respond to changes in physiology, and coordinate with the surgical team, anesthesia, and perfusion staff.
- Assist with transplant or structural heart procedures as assigned, and support post-procedure handoffs to the PACU.
- Document intraoperative events accurately and participate in postoperative care coordination as needed.
- Demonstrate telemetry competency and maintain focus on patient safety, infection control, and aseptic practices in a high-acuity environment.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years operating room experience
- OR experience in a level 1 trauma setting highly desired
- Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases
- Telemetry experience
- Availability for 12-hour shifts, including 7a–7p
