Duties Description New York State Senator Jessica Ramos is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, proactive individual to fill the role of a Constituent Services Liaison in her Jackson Heights District Office. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for public service to work with an elected official whose agenda is focused on working families.The Constituent Services Liaison is responsible for providing efficient constituent service, including advocacy, monitoring, and updating the Senator and Chief of Staff on district and local issues. Constituent casework is one of the essential functions of a Senate office. While a day in the life will vary, some of the primary responsibilities in this dynamic role include:-Attending community meetings and events to represent the Senator-Resolving and managing constituent issues and responding to casework correspondence-Interacting with government agencies, organizations, members of the community, and other elected officials-Maintaining up-to-date files on issues-Assisting with office and community events-Working closely with other members of the team to support larger projects

Minimum Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess the following education, experience, and competencies:-Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent attention to details-Proficient computer skills-Excellent written and public speaking abilities-Flexibility about work hours, available to work evenings and weekends on occasion-Ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment-Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to speak before large groups
