Pay

Starting Rate: $21.31/hour
A new contract is currently in negotiation, so wages are expected to increase.

What You’ll Do

• Safely operate public transit buses on city and suburban routes
• Provide courteous and professional customer service
• Help keep routes running safely and on schedule
• Observe and report unsafe or unusual conditions
• Follow all traffic laws, transit regulations, and safety procedures
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

What We’re Looking For

• At least 18 years old
• Valid New York State Driver’s License to apply
• CDL Class B License or Learner Permit required prior to hire
• Safe driving record
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate professionally with passengers and staff
• Neat and professional appearance

Physical & Work Environment

This position involves extended periods of sitting while operating a bus, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs. Operators work primarily indoors but may occasionally be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vehicle vibration, noise, traffic conditions, and fumes.
