Description:
- This position involves providing nursing care under the supervision of a nurse supervisor in an onsite setting in Commack, NY.
- The role is contract-based, with evening shifts from Friday to Tuesday.
- Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring health and safety, and training direct care staff.
Requirements:
- Monitor and assist in the overall health and safety of individuals served.
- Supervise and train staff regarding medication administration and health issues.
- Complete yearly recertification for medication-certified personnel.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Generate and document incident, seizure, and illness reports.
- Ensure maintenance and review of medical records per guidelines.
- Monitor medication supply and maintain medical goods and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with developmentally disabled population preferred.
- Current NYS license to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current New York county license.
