About the role

As a backend engineer at Rogo, you'll be at the cutting edge of AI research and application development, playing a crucial role in creating a category-defining product and scaling it to massive enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Connect traditional SaaS with AI : develop end-to-end features touching all parts of the stack to enable AI workflow and tasks.

• Architect REST APIs that are backed by stable, scalable server side implementations and maximize web client flexibility for rapidly meeting evolving product requirements

• Ship secure and compliant code: implement security concepts to develop software dealing with sensitive data, work with the security teams choosing what to build vs buy.

• Write robust code that’s easy to read, maintain and test

• Raise the bar for code quality, reliability and product velocity. Collaboratively, you'll push yourself and peers to develop technically and interpersonally.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree.

• You love writing asynchronous code

• You write amazing code, fast.

• Experience building backend platforms that can support multiple product lines.

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.

• Strong attention to detail and spidey sense for where and when things could go wrong.

• Track record of shipping high-quality products.

• Strong programming skills and general Computer Science knowledge.

Bonus

• Experience with a strongly typed language (e.g., Rust)

• Early engineer at a hyper-growth startup.

• Experience in world-class product organizations (e.g., Notion, Figma).

• Financial services experience.
