Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a full time bilingual English/Spanish Nationally Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice- Peninsula Community Health Center

Key Duties:

• Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
• Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
• Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
• Completes referrals and discharges patients.
• Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
• Assist provider with treatments
• Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.

Starting Compensation: Minimum: $23.00/hour ; Maximum: $23.00/hour + $1500 differential pay-paid yearly.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:

Onsite in the Bronx, 40 hour shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
