Senior Cost Manager (WWCMNY01)

Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information. Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. Provide pricing expertise by applying technical knowledge of the construction industry, cost estimation methods, and an ability to identify and analyze all factors affecting costs such as the price of raw materials and labor, construction time, local market conditions, and impact of delays due to extraneous factors such as bad weather and shipping delays. Apply unit costs and productivity rates, as provided by supervisor. Solicit and collect subcontractor and vendor bids or quotations. Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships. Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets for assigned scope of work. Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates. Provide expertise in all phases of construction work. Supporting senior management by providing technical cost reports and expertise/information, often at short notice. Salary range: $105,000 to $115,000 per year. Position requires: Masters degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent) and 1 year of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.
