Bartender
We're looking for a bartender who gets it. Comal is a Mexico City-inspired fine dining restaurant on Forsyth Street overlooking Sara D. Roosevelt Park, and the bar is a real part of the experience here. Our cocktail menu is tight and intentional — you won't be memorizing a 40-drink list. You will be running a room, reading guests, and making people feel like they found something special.
What the job actually looks like You come in at 3, set up your station, and own it until we close. The menu is small by design, so there's no hiding behind complexity , every drink has to land. The kitchen is doing serious work, and the bar needs to match that energy.
You're a good fit if you:
- Have real bartending experience (fine dining or craft cocktail background preferred)
- Know how to pace a night -you're not just making drinks, you're managing an experience
- Can hold a conversation with various guests
- Work clean and fast without being robotic
- Enjoy a team that takes the food and drink seriously but doesn't take itself too seriously
