Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking an Infectious Disease Physician to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosis and Treatment:

  Infectious disease specialists evaluate patients, order necessary laboratory tests (blood cultures, imaging, etc.), and develop treatment plans for infections. This includes managing conditions like HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, Lyme disease, and antibiotic-resistant infections.

• Infection Control:

  They work to prevent and control the spread of infections, both in hospitals and in the wider community. This involves advising on infection control measures, overseeing antibiotic use to prevent resistance, and managing outbreaks.

• Public Health:

  Infectious disease physicians collaborate with public health agencies to monitor and respond to emerging infections and outbreaks.

• Consultation:

  They are often consulted by other physicians for complex or unusual infections, providing expertise in diagnosis and treatment.

• Research:

  They may be involved in research to develop new vaccines, antibiotics, and other treatments for infectious diseases.

• Patient Education:

  They educate patients and healthcare professionals about infections, prevention strategies, and treatment options.

• Antimicrobial Stewardship:

  They play a crucial role in optimizing the use of antibiotics to prevent the development of resistance and ensure effective treatment.

Requirements

• Must have an active State License
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
