Description

Under general supervision, completes tasks associated with fermentation processes; cleans kettles and equipment including pumps and mixers. Must complete paperwork documenting batching progress and cleaning/sanitization procedures. Must adhere to company Safety, GMP and GDP practices.

Ability to work as part of a team towards common departmental goals including scrap and batch cycle time performance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow safety guidelines and procedures, including proper PPE use.
• Reviews manufacturing procedures with Area Manager or other Compounders to ensure that equipment and raw materials are available.
• Accurately gather and weigh raw materials to be utilized in preparing fermentations.
• Capable of following manufacturing processes to make batches using fermentors and auxiliary equipment.
• Complete transfer of ingredients to and from kettles, mixing tanks and auxiliary equipment for storage of mass, while completing all required paperwork.
• Submits samples of prepared batches to quality control for approval as required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain good attendance.
• Must follow GMP and GDP requirements.
• Must follow instructions and pay attention to details.
• Must be handy (be able to lift up to 50lbs and operate power/hydraulic industrial equipment).
• Must have a good overall understanding of measurement units and basic math.
• Must have good communication skills and ability to read/write in English.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Familiarity in a controlled manufacturing environment and knowledge of Aseptic Technique a plus.

Pay Range:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $19.00 to $29.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
