Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining for diagnostic evaluation. The candidate will support pathologists by preparing high-quality specimens and maintaining lab standards.
Key Details
- Shift: Day Shift (Start time: 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM)
- Schedule: 5x8 Hours (40 hrs/week)
- Department: Clinical Laboratory
Responsibilities
- Process, embed, cut, and stain tissue specimens
- Prepare and stain cytopathology samples
- Maintain accurate documentation and specimen tracking
- Ensure proper handling and management of patient tissue
- Perform specialized histology techniques for diagnosis
- Maintain lab equipment and supplies
- Participate in quality assurance programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Medical Technology / Biology / Chemistry
OR HTL Certification (recognized agency)
- Medical Technology / Biology / Chemistry
- NY State Histotechnician License (AAS) – REQUIRED
- Strong experience in histology lab procedures
Work Environment
- Hospital-based clinical lab
- Focus on surgical and autopsy tissue analysis
- Fast-paced diagnostic setting
