• Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Clinical Leader)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
• Location: Rochester, NY 14621 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Unit: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Weekend Coverage: Occasional weekends
• Orientation: Paid (up to 5 billable hours for modules)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2570 - $2640

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• 5 years of charge nurse or clinical leadership experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Willingness to float to other units as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY
• First-time travel nurses and non-local candidates (outside 75 miles) are encouraged to apply

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry setting
• Act as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to rapid response calls
• Manage peripheral IV lines, nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management
• Implement and monitor isolation precautions for infection control
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EHR
• Float to additional hospital units as required
