Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior full Stack Java Developer to join one of our largest financial service clients and sit local to New York City. This candidate will be joining the Fund Services Platform team as a full time employee. To be successful in this role, this candidate should have excellent Java development experience with Spring boot, microservices, Rest and Json, as well as strong UI development skills specific to Angular, HTML, and Javascript. The database the team mostly works on is Oracle and MongoDB, so the candidate should come from a background that developed in both databases. This candidate will be owning the end-to-end software development across core banking, AI automation, digital onboarding, and anomaly detection. They will be designing and implementing scalable applications using private, public (Azure/GCP), and on-premises cloud solutions. Most importantly, a majority of the day will be spent reviewing code, test plans and releases, developing secure and reusable code. Skills and Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of software development experience with proficiency in Java and Front-End UI technologies and skilled in SOA/API development using Java 17+, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST, and JSON.

• Strong UI development skills with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and Angular.

• Expertise in real-time data processing and event-driven architecture with Apache Kafka.

• Experience in database development with Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.

• Experience in designing and implementing scalable AI solutions, including NLP, predictive modelling, and recommender systems.

• Demonstrated proficiency in unit testing, end-to-end validation, and performance test automation utilizing JMeter. Experienced in implementing Test Driven Development methodologies.

• Experience using GIT version control systems.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

• Experience in securities or financial services.

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience required.
